Important Studio Information
Saturday November 14 Fall Festival
.Although Fall Festival will be a little different this year; I am excited for the opportunity to use a real recital hall. We are limited to 35 total. Each family may bring only two guests. For example, if there is one student in the family, you may bring mom and dad. If there are two students in the family, still you may only bring mom and dad, no siblings. If you have more than two, the extra will have to wait in the car. Masks are required, Social distancing in the recital hall is required, temperature will be taken as you enter the recital hall. These are the rules McM has required if we are allowed to use the facilities.
They also required the piano to be cleaned between each student. I will clean the piano before starting and each student will use sanitizer before and after they play. Students should have pieces from memory by the November 1 memory deadline.
Please arrive 15 minutes early so we can stay on schedule as there is another studio after us.

Thursday November 12, Artwalk, Center for Contemporary Arts 7:00
People who perform for Artwalk must have their pieces learned and secured right now. I have 20 minutes scheduled for Thursday November 7th. You need to dress up, find a place to park where you can arrive at 6:50, no later. Allow time to walk. Streets will be blocked off. The following students have been selected to perform for Artwalk.
Studio Policy Change
Remember to read the new studio policy and fill out the enrollment form. Both are found on this website. I need to receive your enrollment form before your Fall Festival performance.. If I do receive an enrollment form from you. I will assume that you have read the policy changes and agree. If for some reason you have any questions I will be more than happy to visit with you and answer your questions. The studio policy is located as a sub page when you click on the home page. The enrollment form is at the bottom of the homepage.
Spring Theory Test
For those who desire to advance to their current school grade level. For those who previously tool the fall test and desire to make a higher score.
TMTA Theory Test will be Sunday February 6 2022 at HSU Caldwell Hall.
AMTA Springer Manly Music
Festival
All music must be learned with secure memory. Students may play a piece from the Baroque Period, or a Sonatina or Sonata or our new category this year which is any traditional piano repertoire. So you may also play classical or romantic literature. Students perform alone in a room for the judge only. Parents are to wait outside. Please stay out of hallways as sound carries loudly.
National Guild of Piano Teachers will be held the second or third week of May. Students perform memorized pieces for adjudication from an out of town or out of state judge. NGPT is an International Organization founded in Abilene at Hardin-Simmons University. Students work all year to learn and memorize required repertoire for a National Program of 10 pieces. Some students aim for an International Program consisting of 13-20 memorized pieces plus scales and cadences for the key of each piece.
Spring Studio Awards Recital will be held Saturday May 21 , 2022. Time and place to be announced. Family and friends are welcomed to attend this formal performance.
